Welcome to GoLocalPDF. Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the GoLocalPDF.com website and any services, tools, or functionalities provided through it (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must immediately cease using the Service.
1. Description of Service
GoLocalPDF provides browser-based, client-side PDF utility tools utilizing WebAssembly and WebGPU technologies to process files locally on your device. We also offer advanced cloud-assisted services, including AI-driven document translation via standard cloud Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
2. User Data & Privacy
Account Creation: You may use certain features of the Service anonymously. To access subscriptions, credit tracking, or dashboard features, you must create an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.
File Ownership: GoLocalPDF does not claim any ownership rights over the text, files, or documents you process through the Service. Your data remains entirely yours.
3. Billing, Subscriptions, and Credits
Subscription Plans: Pro subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your billing dashboard.
Credit System: Subscriptions may include a monthly allotment of usage credits. These monthly credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over.
Top-Up Credits: You may purchase additional credit packs ("Top-Ups") as needed. Purchased top-up credits do not expire and will remain valid in your account until consumed.
Refunds: Due to the immediate computing resources consumed by cloud AI processing, all purchases, including subscription fees and credit top-ups, are generally non-refundable.
4. "Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) Model
If you utilize your own third-party AI platform API keys (e.g., OpenAI, Google Gemini) within our Service, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Your API keys are stored securely within your local browser storage and are never sent to GoLocalPDF servers.
- You are solely responsible for any usage costs, rate limits, and compliance terms dictated by your respective API providers.
5. Fair Use and Restrictions
You agree not to abuse the Service, including but not limited to:
- Attempting to reverse-engineer, exploit, or disrupt the local WebAssembly runtime environment.
- Automated scraping or brute-forcing our cloud endpoint resources.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. GOLOCALPDF DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE PROCESSING OF COMPLEX DOCUMENTS (SUCH AS SCANNED FILES OR INTRICATE LAYOUTS) WILL BE 100% ERROR-FREE OR UNALTERED.
7. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL GOLOCALPDF, ITS CREATORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
